New rates approved by the Jo-Carroll Energy board of directors as part of the 2020 budget go into effect in March. The new rates will be reflected on bills members receive on or after April 10.

The change was instituted to recover inflationary cost increases from suppliers and to maintain adequate financial ratios with the cooperative's lenders.

The changes include a $1 increase on the monthly facility charges for all electric service types and a fractional increase on the delivery charge for both electric and natural gas.
