JCE Co-op Board Approves Redistricting
The JCE Co-op Board of Directors has voted to update the cooperative’s director district boundaries through a redistricting process. This change helps ensure board districts continue to fairly represent JCE Co-op’s membership as the cooperative evolves.
Board of Directors
JCE Co-op is governed and guided by a board of nine directors. The Board of Directors is elected during the Annual Meeting voting process by the members for three-year terms.
As a cooperative, JCE Co-op is owned and democratically controlled by the members we serve. The cooperative is governed by elected representatives who are accountable to the membership. Our service area is divided into 9 director districts. Each district is represented by one director, elected by the members of the district to serve a three-year term. Jerry Meyer is Vice Chairman of the JCE Board of Directors, representing District 1. A Menominee resident and retired owner of J.M.’s Tap, he has been a JCE member since 2015. Jerry values serving his community and representing neighbors. He is committed to ensuring JCE delivers safe, reliable and competitive electricity and fiber services. Dan Tindell is a JCE Director (Secretary) and Dairyland Power Cooperative Director from Galena. A JCE member since 1996 and retired from the State of Illinois, Dan serves to ensure members receive safe, reliable and lowest cost possible for energy and fiber internet services. Joe Mattingley is a Board Member representing District Three and lives in Scales Mound, Illinois. He is the owner of an energy and electric services business and has been connected to JCE since 1978 and a direct member in 1995. Joe is passionate about the energy industry and supporting rural economic, farming and business development. He is honored to represent members in the Scales Mound area and parts of Wisconsin, and looks forward to working with members on both sides of the state line. Allen Hendren is a JCE Director representing District 4 and has been a member for 38 years. A retired school teacher from Apple River/Apple Canyon Lake, Allen serves to ensure JCE’s services remain reliable, reasonable, and safe for members. David H. Senn serves as Chairman of the JCE Board of Directors, representing District 6. A retired Certified Financial Planner and 50-year JCE member, David lives in rural Mount Carroll. He serves on the board to help guide members through the changes taking place in the utility industry. Larry Carroll serves as a JCE Director and participates on American Public Gas Association (APGA) committees, representing District 7 following redistricting. A resident of Thomson, Illinois, Larry brings 36 years of experience as a Natural Gas Technician and 24 years as a Police Officer. He has been a JCE member for 17 years and serves on the board out of a strong interest in the future of energy. Ted James, Fulton, Illinois, serves as a JCE Director for District 8 and as an Alternate Director on the Dairyland Power Cooperative Board. A self-employed entrepreneur, Ted previously served 27 years with the Fulton Fire Department and now owns a welding and fabrication shop in Clinton, Iowa. Robert (Bob) Kuhns serves as Treasurer for JCE’s Board of Directors, representing District 9. A Geneseo resident and JCE member for 51 years, Bob’s background includes work as a public school music teacher, rural mail carrier, piano tuner, technician, and veterinarian assistant.
