Open Board of Director's Meeting
The JCE Co-op Board of Directors will hold an open board meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. This is the regular monthly meeting of the board and not a meeting of the membership. Open meetings are held from time to time where we welcome members to attend and observe the process we follow and how we do business.
If you would like to attend, we ask that you please RSVP by Oct. 23 to ensure we have the necessary space for this meeting. Please also review the meeting procedures (linked below) that are followed so we are able to accomplish our business in an orderly manner.

Member Advisory
Let your Voice be Heard
Together, let us discuss cooperative principles, procedure and general issues that are important to us and the communities we serve.
Would you like to learn more about your co-op and how it operates? Would you like to make a difference in your community?
If so, then you may be interested in serving on JCE Co-op's Member Advisory Council. The Member Advisory Council (MAC) is a grassroots effort to educate JCE Co-op members about the cooperative, cooperative values and our core businesses. At the meetings, we'll keep council members informed about all aspects of the cooperative, and in turn, we hope they will share any concerns and information from their communities.
Council Openings Still Available
Openings are still available on the council. Members interested in serving should call JCE Co-op at 800-858-5522.
When full, the council will consist of approximately 40-50 members with two to three memberships representing each of the cooperative's 10 districts. Applicants must be members in good standing. Members will serve two-year terms.
Co-ops Vote
Are you a Co-op Voter?
As a member-owned cooperative, voting is already in our DNA. It's how we maintain your cooperative, which is responsive to you, the consumers we serve. Voting plays a crucial part in our representative democracy. Federal, state and local elections offer an opportunity to exercise a civic responsibility - to select the best leaders for our communities.
When voters miss the chance to vote, they also lose the opportunity to communicate their concern to our leaders about the issues that matter to us, where we work, live and raise families.
Reliable electricity, rural infrastructure and access to rural broadband are just a few of the issues we all care about. These issues will only become priorities if we continue to express our concerns to our elected officials. Registering to vote and showing up to the polls on Election Day are the most effective ways to send this message.
JCE Co-op has once again joined America's electric cooperatives in continuing the Co-ops Vote campaign to help get out the vote and insert issues important to co-ops and our communities into the public discussion. This effort will ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear every day, and especially on the next Election Day.
For information on how to register and vote in our state, visit the Co-ops Vote website: vote.coop. You can also find information about elected officials and read more about issues important to our community.
Co-ops Vote is a non-partisan program developed by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), the national service organization that represents the nation's more than 900 private, not-for-profit, consumer-owned electric cooperatives. You will join with 42 million members across the nation, to ensure that electric co-ops are a powerful voice on national issues that have a local impact.
Picture This, Your Photos in Print
JCE Co-op is accepting entries for its 2024 photo contest through June 30. Winning entries will be featured in the 2025 JCE Co-op photo calendar. Send us your favorite photos that represent life in our area. Entrants must be JCE members. All photos must be the work of the entrant and be taken within the co-op’s service territory. We will choose 12 photos to appear on the calendar pages and two photos to be featured on the front and back covers. Several other photos are selected each year as honorable mentions.
Even if your entry is not selected for the calendar specifically, it could still be featured on our website or other co-op publications and materials.
Thank you for all you do to remind us what beautiful communities we live in!
