What is Lifeline?
Lifeline is the Federal Communication Commission’s program to help make communications services more affordable for eligible consumers to help lower the monthly cost of phone or internet. Lifeline participation enables consumers to stay connected to jobs, family, community resources, and government and emergency services.
Eligible households can receive a monthly discount of $9.25 on broadband internet service, or a monthly discount of $5.25 on the telephone service, but not both.
Who is Eligible?
To see if you are eligible for Lifeline, please review the information below and apply to the link below. To be eligible for the program, you, your dependent, or your household must participate in one of the following programs:
• Medicaid or Medical Assistance Program
• SNAP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly Food Stamps)
• SSI: Supplemental Security Income
• Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
• Veteran’s Pension or Survivor’s Pension Benefits
Consumers may also qualify for Lifeline if their total household income does not exceed 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Apply for Lifeline in 2 Steps

Your eligibility to participate in Lifeline must be verified by the Universal Service Administrative Co. (USAC) using the National Verifier. To apply online go to lifelinesupport.org/get-started or print an application and mail with proof of eligibility to:

Once you have been verified, use the JCE enrollment form by clicking the button below. One of our representatives will follow up with you after you have completed the form online to make sure you are approved.
