Thank you for your interest in serving on the JCE Board of Directors. Board members play a vital role in guiding the cooperative’s future, representing the membership, and ensuring strong leadership and oversight. Each member of the board of directors is elected by the members of the district they represent.
JCE is seeking engaged members who are interested in contributing their time, perspective, and leadership to support JCE’s mission and long-term success. Prior board experience is helpful but not required - what matters most is a willingness to learn, participate, and serve.
Serving as a Director is a meaningful commitment. Board members serve three-year terms. Board members are expected to attend regular meetings, participate in training opportunities, and stay informed on issues impacting the cooperative and its members.
Candidate Requirements
- Be a current member of JCE and reside in the district you wish to run.
- Submit a completed petition with a minimum of 25 member signatures.
- Review, sign & submit Policy 102B: Duties and Responsibilities of Directors.
These requirements help ensure that candidates have both member support and a clear understanding of the expectations of board service. If you are passionate about your community and interested in helping shape the future of JCE, we encourage you to submit your nomination.
